Ranking at spot #3 in our 2019 Top Upcoming Female category is Jamaica’s own ‘Princess of Dancehall’, Shenseea.
At only 23-years young, some may see her as a relative newcomer to the game, but in a short period of time, Shenseea has been successful in threading through the industry’s trenches and roadblocks, quickly becoming one of dancehall’s leading artists, female or male. She is adored internationally, and has a strong fan-bases in reggae-capitals like Toronto, New York, and Japan, all places she has toured.

Born in Manchester, Shenseea bus in 2015 after appearing in in Vybz Kartel’s ‘Loodi’ remix and performing alongside him at Reggae Sumfest. Among her early list of accolades – in 2017, she teamed up with Sean Paul for ‘Rolling’ and performed on his European tour. Shenseea is currently riding off the popularity of her Blessed hip-hop/dancehall track (Interscope Records) featuring American artist Tyga. The song peaked at Number 2 on Billboard’s reggae digital sales chart, and the music video is now sitting at over 34 million views on YouTube.
